Start of new innovation grant tackling peak load

Are you a livestock farmer with dairy cattle, pigs and/or veal calves and do you have a farm with peak loads? If you want to contribute to reducing nitrogen precipitation on overloaded Natura 2000 areas, you can get a new innovation subsidy to do so. From 21 October 2024 namely opens the counter of the new subsidy scheme 'Subsidy for investments in sustainability for livestock sites with peak load' (Sbv). You can get the grant if you invest in proven techniques that significantly reduce nitrogen precipitation, such as stall systems and air scrubbers. An important condition is that the number of animals on your farm does not increase for five years. The budget is between €25,000 and €600,000 per application. You can apply for the subsidy until 8 January 2025 apply to the RFO.
